Seed IP Law Group welcomes four new attorneys
Seed IP Law Group proudly welcomes four new attorneys: Bilal H. Adra has joined Seed IP’s Computer Science Group as an associate. David Chen has joined the Mechanical Engineering, Trademark, and IP Litigation & Enforcement Groups as Of Counsel. David C. Conlee returns to Seed IP as Of Counsel, having previously served as an Associate; he joins the firm’s Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Group. And lastly, Brigid C. Mahoney has joined the Trademark Group as an Associate.
Bilal Adra focuses his practice on patent preparation and prosecution of software and internet technology matters. He received his B.S. (magna cum laude) in Computer Science from North Central College (2016), and his J.D. (cum laude) from University of Illinois College of Law (2019). While attending University of Illinois College of Law, Bilal received the Joseph M. Barich Excellence in Patent Law Award and the Rickert Award for Excellence in Legal Writing, both in 2019. is admitted to the Illinois State Bar. He is a member of the Washington State Patent Law Association (WSPLA).
David Chen's practice is focused on patent and trademark prosecution, clearance, strategic counseling, and enforcement. He also has substantial experience advising clients on intellectual property transactions and associated due diligence. David received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington, and his J.D. (cum laude) from Seattle University School of Law. David is admitted to the Washington State Bar and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Western District of Washington. David is a member of the American Bar Association, the Washington State Patent Law Association (WSPLA), and the International Trademark Association (INTA).
David Conlee focuses his practice on foreign and domestic patent prosecution as well as infringement and invalidity studies. He received a B.S. in Physics (with an emphasis in Nanotechnology) and a minor in Mathematics from Brigham Young University in 2005. David also received an M.E. in Electrical Engineering (with an emphasis in Integrated Circuit Design and Fabrication) from the University of Utah in 2007. He was awarded his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School of Brigham Young University in 2010. David is admitted to the Washington State Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the Washington State Patent Law Association. David previously served as an associate at Seed IP for several years and, more recently, spent five years operating a solo patent law practice focusing on patent preparation.
Brigid Mahoney's practice is focused on the registration and enforcement of trademarks, across a variety of industry groups. She received a B.A. (magna cum laude) in International Studies from University of Miami (2014), and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law (2018). Brigid has also studied abroad at Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic) and American University (Rome, Italy). She is admitted to the California State Bar. Brigid is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA).
