Seed IP’s Biotechnology, Chemistry & Pharmacuticals Group proudly welcomes new patent agent Frieda K. Chan, Ph.D. Frieda’s practice focuses on the drafting and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications, as well as assisting in the preparation of intellectual property due diligence, freedom to operate and patentability opinions. In 2015, she received her Ph.D. specializing in reproductive, stem cell and molecular biology from Washington State University. As both an NIH molecular biosciences training fellow and an NSF biological and mathematical summer research fellow, Frieda’s research focused on molecular mechanisms that regulate the germline stem cell population. In 2011, she received a Postbaccalaureate in Microbiology and Mathematics from Washington State University.
Frieda is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is a member of the Washington State Patent Law Association (WSPLA), Life Science Washington, The American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy, American Society of Hematology, and Women in Biology.
