Seed IP ranks #6 on Law360’s ‘Law Firms With the Most Minority Attorneys 2024’ list

Law360® Pulse (A LexisNexis® Company) has released the results of its 10th Annual Diversity Snapshot survey in which Seed IP Law Group proudly ranks #6 on the ‘Law Firms With the Most Minority Attorneys’ list of U.S. law firms with 100 or fewer attorneys. The firms on this list demonstrate that law firms can create minority leadership opportunities and can build partnerships with diverse talent and perspectives.

“Seed IP Law Group is committed to diversity and inclusion, values our firm has and will continue to benefit from, throughout our organization. We recognize that this commitment is key to the creativity and innovation that are so important to the continued success of our people and our firm,” says Kevin S. Costanza, Seed IP’s Managing Partner.“ Recruiting, hiring and promoting a diverse group of the country’s top IP attorneys are core elements of our long-term strategic plan. We are extremely proud of the diverse and inclusive environment we have created and will continue to create, and we look forward to the opportunity to continue growing and improving.”

Methodology

Law360's annual law firm survey collected diversity data from 295 U.S. firms, vereins with a U.S. component, or law firms with a substantial U.S. presence. Not all firms responded to all diversity questions. Firms provided specific details on the racial and ethnic diversity of their attorneys by headcount as of December 31, 2023. Only U.S.-based attorneys were included in the survey, and firms had to have at least 20U.S.-based attorneys to participate. Some attorneys declined to identify a race or ethnicity. Numbers in the charts or text may add up to more than 100% due to rounding.

Law360 now collects data from law firms using the race, gender and ethnicity categories used by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in its annual Employer Information EEO-1survey. We also have added an option for attorneys who decline to identify a race or ethnicity. This did not result in a significant impact to results for overall diversity levels at law firms.

In our analyses, terms such as "minority" or "person of color" are defined as those who identify with one of any of these racial or ethnic groups: Hispanic or Latino, African American or Black, Asian American, Native American or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, and two or more races.
