The Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) is a student-led organization at Seattle University School of Law committed to increasing awareness of the rewards, challenges, opportunities, and needs in public interest law. Over the past two decades, PILF has created and supported a number of programs that enable students to explore and engage in public interest careers, such as the Law School’s Loan Repayment Assistance Program, job shadowing, networking events like the Evening with Equal Justice, and the PILF Summer Grant Program. PILF organizes fundraising events, volunteer opportunities, and networking for students interested in pursuing a career in public interest or social justice law.
PILF also engages in major fundraising efforts through its Fall Pledge Drive and its Spring Dinner and Auction in support of the Summer Grant Program, which provides legal services to low-income and otherwise underserved individuals, organizations, and communities.
