Seed IP partners Qing (Becky) Lin and Hayley Talbert to attend American Intellectual Property Law Association's Annual Meeting | October 24-26, 2024

Seed IP partners Dr. Qing (Becky) Lin and Hayley Talbert are scheduled to attend the AIPLA (American Intellectual Property Law Association) 2024 Annual Meeting, taking place at the Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center in National Harbor, MD, from October 24-26, 2024. The Annual Meeting will bring together over 1000 IP professionals from around the world for three days of networking and education.

About Qing (Becky) Lin, Ph.D.

Becky specializes in biotechnology and pharmaceutical patents. She works closely with companies in these industries to develop strategic patent protection for their technologies. She helps her clients minimize their patent infringement risks, and facilitates smooth IP-related business transactions. Her expertise includes managing patent portfolios for a variety of technologies such as immunotherapeutics, proteins, nucleic acid isolation and analysis, pharmaceutical compositions, disease diagnosis and treatment, medical devices, and transgenic animals and plants. Additionally, Becky offers patentability, validity, freedom to operate, and non-infringement analyses and opinions in these areas.

Becky is admitted to the Washington State Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Washington State Patent Law Association, and the Washington Biomedical and Biotechnology Association.

About Hayley Talbert

Hayley recently entered a new role as the Vice Chair of the Membership Committee of AIPLA, and has been heavily involved in the AIPLA Law School Link program for which she intends to continue to build relationships in order to expand the success of the program. 

Hayley is on the Management Committee for Seed IP and is a partner in Seed IP’s Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Group, working closely with the group chair and other team members to evaluate scope of work, areas for expanded experience, and career growth. 

She is also a professor at the University of Washington School of Law teaching patent prosecution. She regularly speaks with students (from middle school through college) about how IP integrates with their lives and provides perspective on job opportunities available to them in a variety of science and technology fields.
